Over 200 friends and river supporters gathered at the LMC 2018 River Conservation Dinner on April 17th at the Marriott NE in Mason OH.  "Panther in the Sky" author James Alexander Thom addressed the crowd as this year's keynote speaker describing the life and time of the great Shawnee leader Tecumseh who was born along the Little Miami 250 years ago in 1768.  The event also celebrated the 50th anniversaries of the founding of the Ohio Scenic Rivers and National Wild & Scenic Rivers programs.  Dark Rain & James Alexander Thom, and the Bob & June Morgan Family received the LMC 2018 Little Miami Legacy Awards.  Additional awards of appreciation were given to numerous people who had made outstanding contributions to the river's protection and restoration.  Immediately prior to the dinner, Raptor Inc. was on hand with live raptor birds along with the Live Stream of the Jurgensen Companies' Little Miami Osprey nest cam.  Dark Rain and Mr. Thom also signed books which were presented to each dinner attendee. LMC President gave a "Year in Review" and the Dayton Foundation was on hand to review giving options to help assure LMC's long term efforts.  Dinner sponsor included Messer Construction, Manley Burke LPAs, The Schueler Group, Prestige Travel, Bill& Kathy Schroeder, Bone & Bone CPAs, Valley Springs Farm Co., Mike Fremont & Marilyn Wall, and Wright Brothers Inc.  Many thanks to our dinner sponsors and all our river friends for a truly magical evening!
