A Worthy Salute to the Little Miami Conservancy !
Guest Writer - Eric Partee

The Little Miami Conservancy has welcomed three adorable bald eagle chicks over the recent days at a long-standing eagle nest along Little Miami in Warren County. This exciting news comes after the Conservancy recently acquired 26 acres of beautiful riverfront forest land along the Little Miami State and National Scenic River near Fort Ancient and South Lebanon.

A nonprofit organization founded in 1967 by Glenn Thompson the Little Miami Conservancy is dedicated to preserving the natural splendor of the Little Miami river corridor and protect the exceptional water quality and wonderful wildlife in and along this nationally-recognized river.
With over 100 nature preserves established by the Conservancy along the river and several of its tributaries, the Conservancy works tirelessly to protect critical riverfront lands and promote understanding and appreciation among the governmental agencies, civic groups, local landowners, and others.
LMC spearheaded the efforts to create the popular Little Miami Scenic Bike Trail. Their efforts have led to the restoration of degraded water quality and the protection of many stunning green spaces in their natural state, including a recent acquisition of some four acres of land in the heart of downtown Loveland.
The Conservancy is active up and down the entire 103 mile river and is sharing its insights on its website, Facebook page and YouTube channel, sharing updates about their eagle cam, conservation efforts, and other conservation initiatives. The nonprofit organization collaborates with public officials, schools and park districts and seeks new partnerships. Donations can be made at www.littlemiami.org
